Frequently Asked Questions

Will my child be supervised?
Yes. Students will be supervised during class and breaks by their teacher or
a staff person.
How many classes can a child take?
They can take one to two classes during each session (am & pm). During
the three summer sessions, students may take up to a total of six classes.
Will my child go on fieldtrips?
Some classes do. If the class has a fieldtrip, you may need to drive. Please
contact the teacher directly to be sure there are enough drivers. If you
become a driver for the fieldtrip, you must go to the Extended Education
Office (Stevenson 1012) and show a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
It is up to the driver to insure that all children are wearing a seat belt.
Do I have to pay to park when I drop off my child?
There are EXCEL parking passes good for the 15-minute period of drop off and
pick up from classes. Passes are mailed with the student guidelines.
Can my child ride his/her bike or take the bus?
Yes. We have a special release form for parents to sign.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, you may receive a refund, minus a $25 nonrefundable processing fee, from
each class two weeks prior to class start date.
What happens at lunch?
There is a supervised lunch period called "Lunch Bunch" from noon to 1pm. Students
are checked in, have a quiet lunch on the lawn, and then may play with several
toys available, read or visit with new friends. Students are not allowed to
leave this area unless accompanied by an adult.
Is it overnight camp?
No, it is a commuter camp. We have a "drop off" and "pick up" area. For further
information see student guidelines.
