It takes more than tuition fees to make EXCEL great!
Excel for Youth is self-supporting and receives no funding from the State of California. Student tuition does not cover the full cost of running this wonderful program. Your contributions are needed to help provide tuition assistance and help keep classes affordable--our goal is to turn no student away because of inability to pay! We are a separate 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, and all donations are tax-deductible.
Your donation supports the EXCEL Scholarship Fund, which offers scholarships to low-income students countywide and allows them to participate in EXCEL classes. Your gift provides an opportunity for deserving students to take part in a program that inspires curiosity, and challenges and raises expectations. Including students from a wide variety of economic backgrounds and experiences fosters an atmosphere of self-esteem and contributes to all students' learning. By contributing to the EXCEL scholarship fund, you can change a child's life, enabling them to aspire to a career in science, technology, or the arts! Your contributions to EXCEL allows us to create exciting new classes, keep class size small, and continually improve the learning experience for all our participants.
