The Spring 2014 certificate program will be held on Tuesdays, January 14 - April 8, from 6:45pm-9:40pm in Stevenson Hall Room 3030. The course fee is $625.

The Human Resource Management Certificate Program teaches the skills and knowledge required to successfully manage the human resources in today's complex business environment. The program combines technical knowledge with skillbuilding in the following areas:
- Management Practices
- Managing a Diverse Workforce
- The Legal Context
- Selection and Placement
- Training and Development
- Benefits Administration
- Conflict and Dispute Resolution
- Employee and Labor Relations
- Employee Development
- Health, Safety, and Security
Resource book required
Casico, Wayne, Managing Human Resources, 8th edition, 9th edition, or International edition, McGraw Hill are all acceptable. Available at North Light books in the shopping center on E. Cotati Ave. immediately across the street from Campus, or on line at www.half.com or www.amazon.com.
The program is sponsored jointly by the Department of Business Administration and Extended and International Education at Sonoma State University. It is endorsed by the Personnel Association of Sonoma County (PASCO).
Faculty Coordinator: Sarah Dove, MIM, is a professor in the Business Administration Department and Director of the School of Business and Economics Career Center at SSU.
