What is Around the World in OLLI Days?
OLLI at Sonoma State University and its two satellite campuses (Oakmont and Vintage House -Sonoma) is proud of its highly active membership. Our members not only meaningfully contribute to their local communities, but they also avidly travel around the nation and the world.
Around the World in OLLI Days honors the travels of our members, whether it be with one of our OLLI ABROAD excursions or on an independent travel adventure. The OLLI members you see here elect to transport an OLLI banner as they complete their travels, taking a picture with the banner along the way. Upon their return, we add their travel pictures to our OLLI website and travelogue you see here.
It's a wonderful way to document the travels of our members, and offers us a chance to travel around the world from our computers!
How Can I Transport An OLLI Banner?
Becoming an Around the World in OLLI Days participant is simple! Just fill out this participant form (pdf) completely and mail it to the OLLI office, OR you can email the information to hatchere@sonoma.edu. An OLLI staff member will contact you within 48 hours of the receipt of your inquiry.
Around the World in OLLI Days participants must be current OLLI members. Also, you must contact us at least two weeks prior to your departure date so we can mail you the banner in time. You will receive complete instructions with the OLLI banner.
Please note that by sending us photos of your trip, you are giving OLLI at Sonoma State University permission to use the photographs for publicity purposes. In addition, any photos sent to the OLLI office will not be returned to you.
