Financial Aid for Summer 2013
Continuing SSU students who have not used their full 2012-2013 Pell Grant or Direct Loan eligibility in the Fall 2012 and/or Spring 2013 semesters may have funds available from those programs for Summer. If you think you might have funds available, email the Financial Aid Information Specialists at email@example.com or stop by the Financial Aid Counter in Salazar 1000.
File Review Processing Timeline for Fall 2013 Verification
We have begun reviewing files for first-time freshman who paid the enrollment reservation deposit and other new admits to SSU for Fall 2013. We have also begun reviewing files for continuing who submitted all of their To Do List items by 05/16/2013. If you see the "Review in process" item in your To Do List, your verification documents will be reviewed by the Due Date. The review may result in additional To Do List items being assigned to you. If this happens, you will receive an email notification and you will see the items in your To Do List.
Financial Aid Award Offer Timeline for Fall 2012 and Spring 2013
Students newly admitted to programs that are eligible for financial aid will begin receiving 2013-14 financial aid award offers in April. Continuing SSU students will begin receiving notification of their award offer in mid-June, after Spring 2013 grades have been posted. If you have not completed the items in your To Do List, your award notification may be delayed. For more information, visit the To Do List Notifications page of the Help Book.

California Dream Act Expands State Grant Eligibility to AB 540 Students for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014
Students determined eligible for a waiver of non-resident tuition under AB 540—and not already eligible for state and federal financial aid—are now eligible to apply for state grant aid under AB 131. CA Dream Act does not affect eligibility for federal aid.
The SSU priority date for funds for Spring 2013 has passed. Students who have submitted applications will be notified by December 21, 2012 of eligibility for Spring 2013.
For the upcoming academic year, the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) expects to have the on-line CA Dream Application available on 01/01/13. Visit CSAC's California Dream Act of 2011 now for important information, and be sure to return to the page as soon as possible after 01/01/13 to complete the application if you are an AB 540 student not already eligible for state and federal financial aid.
