No Disbursement of Financial Aid on 11/14/12

Because we are working on the tuition fees roll back, we will not run a disbursement of financial aid funds on 11/14/12. Regular disbursement processing will resume no later than 11/26/12. For students who are entitled to a refund of the tuition fees they paid for Fall 2012, those refunds will be issued separately from financial aid disbursement processing.

California Dream Act Expands State Grant Eligibility to AB 540 Students for Fall 2013 and Spring 2014

Students determined eligible for a waiver of non-resident tuition under AB 540—and not already eligible for state and federal financial aid—are now eligible to apply for state grant aid under AB 131. CA Dream Act does not affect eligibility for federal aid.

The SSU priority date for funds for Spring 2013 has passed. Students who have submitted applications will be notified by December 21, 2012 of eligibility for Spring 2013.

For the upcoming academic year, the California Student Aid Commission (CSAC) expects to have the on-line CA Dream Application available on 01/01/13. Visit CSAC's California Dream Act of 2011 now for important information, and be sure to return to the page as soon as possible after 01/01/13 to complete the application if you are an AB 540 student not already eligible for state and federal financial aid.
