Spanish Competition: ¡TEATRO!
10:00 am - 1:00 pm
The theme for this year’s Spanish language competition is Teatro.
Students are invited to create (or adapt) their own original theatrical performance.
Judging is based on creativity/originality, performance, and language.
Awards and prizes in two categories:
Native/Heritage Speakers
Half or more of the total dialogue is by students whose spoken Spanish has primarily been learned other than through instruction
Non-Native/heritage Speakers
Less than half of the total dialogue is by students whose spoken Spanish has primarily been learned through instruction
FEES
All Competitors pay a $5.00 Registration Fee. All spectators pay a $3.00 Registration Fee. (payable at the event upon registration; if by check make payable to "Sonoma State University")
ELIGBILITY FOR COMPETITION:
All students currently enrolled in a high school or middle school Spanish class are eligible to compete in any of the events at the appropriate level.

March 17, 2008
