GENERAL EDUCATION at Sonoma State University
Unanimously approved by Faculty Senate, March 6, 2003
General Education (GE) at Sonoma State University (SSU) investigates the complexity of human experience in a diverse natural and social world, and promotes informed and ethical participation as citizens of the world.
To achieve our mission, in concert with the specific needs of various GE Areas of Study, the GE program asserts specific fundamental goals for all GE approved classes.

- Seminar Skill Training -- 5/12/05
The suggested model for seminar skill development is for a pilot cohort of faculty and staff to experience an initial, half-day training in late fall 2005 or early spring 2006 followed by a series of monthly seminars using the Touchstones program of strategically paired interdisciplinary texts examining a variety of critical issues from both historical and current perspectives.
