  • Diversity Issues in the Classroom (SSU call number VHS 4419) is a very useful video that can be used to start a dialogue among our SSU faculty. It includes four vignettes involving college students-professors/advisors and a facilitator's guide. Although it was produced in 1997, the reactions/responses to the vignettes regarding diversity issues in a university setting are applicable today. The Campus Climate Committee, EMT, GE Task Force, and other colleges and departments will greatly benefit to start this much needed kind of dialogue among faculty and administrators. I highly recommend this video.
