Study Abroad
Global Studies Majors are encouraged, but not required, to study abroad for a semester or year. Studying abroad is an amazing opportunity to enhance your education, and gain skills vital to working and living in an increasingly global economy. You must talk with the Global Studies Coordinator to have your program of study approved before you go.
Students may choose to organize their studies through the CSU International Programs (IP), or they may choose another program.
CSU International Programs
The International Exchange Program (IP) is a CSU program, affiliated with over 50 distinguished universities and other institutions in 18 different countries. IP holds numerous workshops throughout the year to fully explain the program. Sign up for one of these at the IP office.
The IP office is located in Salazar Hall 1071 and is open Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm; 707/664-2582.
Applications are filled out online and are due February 1 st (May 1 for Australia and New Zealand ). For more information, visit the CSU IP website.
Other Programs:
There are many study abroad programs offered through universities as well as private organizations. You can participate in nearly any of these programs (with prior SSU approval) and have your credits transfered to SSU.
