Internships in History

All history majors are encouraged to consider an internship in history as part of their undergraduate study, especially if they are thinking about teaching history in the public schools or a career in public history. These on-the-job positions offer valuable learning experiences and sometimes lead to job offers and career choices. Internship positions are available at local middle and high schools, museums, historical societies, state parks, county agencies and non-profit organizations and may be arranged for academic credit towards the B.A. Some agencies also offer paid internships. For information about undergraduate history internships, contact Professor Randy Dodgen, Stevenson Hall 2066, 707-664-2462.
