For our continuing students, Sonoma State offers three unique villages: Sauvignon Village East and the Hillside Villages of Beaujolais and Tuscany. All three villages offer a unique blend of independent living and a community atmosphere for students looking to live with other students their own age. Whether you chose Sauvignon, Beaujolais, or Tuscany, living on campus offers ways for students to excel academically, socially, and personally.
U- Engage ( Upperclass Student Engagement)
All programming provided to our upperclass students living in Beaujolais, Tuscany, and Sauvignon will focus on promoting and enhancing residents familiarity with resources and outlets addressing the needs of continuing students. The core elements of U-Engage will be Career Exploration, Academic Success, Leadership, and Individual Development.
Gender-Neutral Housing will be offered in Sauvignon East Village to all residents, including first year students. Gender-Neutral Housing allows same gender roommates, opposite gender roommates or other gender-identified roommate pairings. The community is designed as an intentional living community affirming the cultural experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, and questioning residents as well as their allies. Residents must self-select the Gender-Neutral Housing option. Gender-Neutral Housing will never be forced upon a student. The University discourages all students in romantic relationships from living together on campus. Therefore, a supplemental application and a short interview with a member of the Residential Life staff must be completed.
