Intersession Housing

The School of Extended Education is providing a winter intersession program which will run from December 16-20 with a holiday break from December 21 to January 1. Classes will then resume January 2-9. Housing will provide campus housing accommodations to coincide with the academic program.

Important Dates for Intersession Housing

  • November 7: Online registration begins. Link will be available November 1.
  • December 10: Deadline to submit online registration.
  • December 14: Residential Community closes for non-intersession residents.
  • December 16: Intersession Classes begin.
  • December 20: Intersession residents must vacate by 5 pm.
  • December 24-January 1: Official campus closure.
  • January 1 after 2 pm: Intersession residents can return to campus.
  • January 2: Intersession classes resume.
  • January 9: Residenital Community re-opens for Spring 2014.
 
 
Who is eligible to live-on campus during Intersession?
Current Fall residents who completed the Fall 2013 semester and will be continuing through to the Spring 2014 semester.
Am I eligible if I have to be on campus for athletic events or return to work early?
Students needing to stay or return early due to collegiate athletics or work may do so as long the online registration is submitted by the dealine.
What are the occupancy periods?
Approved Intersession residents will be able to remain on campus from December 14 to December 20. Residents will need to vacate the evening of December 20 and will be able to return after 2 pm on January 1.
Will residents be allowed to occupy their room during the campus closure period?
For safety and security reasons, residents will not be allowed to stay on-campus when the campus is closed for the winter break. The period would extend from evening on December 20 to 2 pm on January 1. Residents will need to find other accommodations.
What is the cost of Intersession Housing?
There is no additional cost to live on campus during the designated winter break dates; however you MUST register in order to have access to your room.
What is the deadline for applying for Intersession Housing?
We will start accepting payments for Intersession November 15th through Monday, December 10th at 4 pm. We will not accept applications after December 10th.
Will food be available during this period?
Residential Dining venues will not be open during Intersession. For those living in suites, Charlie Brown's Café will be the only venue open for food on a cash basis during the day.
What are my winter break housing options as a current or former foster youth student?
Please call Housing Services at (707) 664-2541 to discuss options available to you over the winter break.

During the winter break, Housing Services and Facilities Services may need to enter your residence to complete necessary inspections, maintenance and repairs, upgrades, and housekeeping in order to prepare the unit for the Spring semester. All University and Housing policies and regulations are in effect during Intersession. Intersession Housing is not available to new students taking occupancy in the Spring semester or for those students who have Petitioned to Vacate at the end of the Fall semester.
