Residents currently living on-campus will have the opportunity to participate in a reservation process during Spring 2008. They will do so by reapplying, selecting a room, and securing the space. The information provided below is an abbreviated version of the complete details. For the specifics, please read the emails sent to your SSU email account or information placed in your campus mailbox. The various publications and email notices containing the details will be added here for your convenience.
The reapplication period will start on Thursday, February 28th at 10:00 a.m. and will end at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 4th. This is not a first come, first offered priority system. You can reapply annytime during the period. If you miss the deadline, students will continue to have access to the website; but their application will be considered late and will be placed on a waitlist in date/time received order. Students will reapply online through the RMS Student Web. The link will not be posted here until February 28th. We encourage students to reapply according to the following schedule to prevent a system overload: Cabernet, Zinfandel, and Verdot starting at 10:00 a.m.; Sauvignon starting at 12 Noon; and Beaujolais starting at 2:00 p.m.
Selected students will receive an offer letter in their campus mailbox by March 7th. The letter will indicate their lottery number and the time they can log on to select a room. Room selection will take place on Wednesday, March 12th starting around 10:00 a.m. During the room selection phase, students will also have the opportunity to pick other selected applicants as room and housemates, as long as they have also been offered space. There will be a second round of offers and room selection mid-April for waitlisted students.

Room selection will take place on Wednesday, April 16th starting around 10:00 a.m. During the room selection phase, students will also have the opportunity to pick other selected applicants as room and housemates, as long as they have also been offered space and have not already picked a room.
The last and most critical step is to secure your bedspace by returning a Student Housing License Agreement and reservation deposit to Customer Services by the required deadline. After you book a room, you will receive an "Offer Confirmation" packet which will include all the necessary documents and instructions about finishing the process.
Campus housing is not guaranteed for multiple years of residency. Priority for returning is determined on a lottery basis with first considerations given to the residents who have lived on campus for one year or less.
It is unlikely that we will be able to accommodate all first year students who want to come back for the 2008-2009 Academic Year.
