Assignment Request Samples
At Sonoma State, students have the opportunity of living in suite and apartment style residences. We know it's important for the residents to feel connected to their neighbors and classmates. This connection is formed by creating opportunities for students to interact in academic and social ways. We want students to choose a living area based on the connections they can make rather than the type of room. Statistically, each year surveys prove that what really matters is the connections the resident's make with each other, not the type of room they live in.
We have provided some sample assignment requests to aid in figuring out to fill them out correctly. Please review for your convenience.
If you decide later that you want to change what you indicated on your assignment request, you can do so until the last SSU orientation. All you have do is email Katie Gordon, Housing Data Coordinator, clearly explain your new preference. Again, these are just preferences and not guarantees that you will be assigned to exactly what you have indicated. We try our best to honor each student's request, but many factors determine the final assignment.
