Reapplying
Attention
Residents were sent an email on March 1st instructing them to only use Internet Explorer for the reapplication process. The direct link to reapply is: https://rms-housing.sonoma.edu:4430
The reapplication period will start on Monday, March 2nd at 10:00 a.m. and will end at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 6th. This is not a first come, first offered priority system. You can reapply anytime during the period. If you miss the deadline, students will continue to have access to the web site; but their application will be considered late and will receive appointment times at the end in date/time received order. Students will reapply online through the RMS Student Web. We encourage students to reapply according to the following schedule to prevent a system overload:
- Cabernet, Zinfandel, and Verdot starting at 10:00 a.m.
- Sauvignon starting at 1:00 p.m.
- Beaujolais starting at 3:00 p.m.
Room Selection
Applicants will receive an offer notification to their SSU email account with their appointment time no later than March 12th. The letter will indicate the appointment when they can log on to select a room. Room selection will take place on Tuesday, March 17 and Wednesday, March 18th. During the room selection phase, students will also have the opportunity to pick other applicants as room and housemates, as long as they have also been offered space.
With the opening of Tuscany Village, we are forecasting that we will be able to accommodate residents wanting to return for an additional year of campus housing. Having these additional bedspaces, also allows us to invite current SSU students living off-campus to participate in the room selection phase, as long as they have submitted a hardcopy of Housing Plan (pdf) to Housing Services by 4:30 p.m. on March 6th.
Securing Bedspace
The last and most critical step is to secure your bedspace by returning a Student Housing License Agreement and reservation deposit to Customer Services by the required deadline of April 10th. After you book a room, you will receive an "Offer Confirmation" packet which will include all the necessary documents and instructions about finishing the process.
Rates for 2009-2010
- Beaujolais, Sauvignon and Tuscany Single Occupancy Bedroom: $8,411.00
- Sauvignon and Tuscany Double Occupancy Bedroom: $6,706.00
Residency Limit
Campus housing is not guaranteed for multiple years of residency. During years of impaction, priority for returning and being offered a space is determined on a lottery basis with first considerations given to the residents who have lived on campus for one year or less. In years when we are not impacted, priority for room selection is based on random generated appointment times.
The 2009-2010 Academic Year is not impacted and therefore we should be able to accommodate all the residents who would like to return for another year.
