Pre-Health Freshman Interest GroupSSU offers a unique on-campus housing
option for students called the Freshman Interest Group (FIG) program. One
of the six FIG options is for students interested in the health professions.
The Pre-Health Professions FIG students all are enrolled in the same section
of general chemistry, the freshman seminar course and in Science 150. The
Pre-Health Professions FIG students also live in one area of the residence
halls so they develop close ties to other members of the group. For further
