Staff Recruiting ServicesEmployee Services provides recruiting assistance to fill staff and administrative position openings, including applicant sourcing, position posting and advertising, and support in applicant screening, interviewing and selection. Current position openings may be found by accessing the "Job Opportunities" link on the left of this page. New Employee Sign-upEmployee Services assists all new faculty and staff on their first day of employment to complete sign-up documents so that they may be entered into the payroll system. If you are a new or returning employee and would like more information on starting employment at Sonoma State and to complete the required paperwork ahead of time, please visit the New Employee Welcome page. Employee ResourcesYou may now change certain personal information online and get connected through PeopleSoft Self Service. Information on how to get started with PeopleSoft Self-Service is available at the Get Connected instruction page. To access PeopleSoft, visit the Online Services Login page at https://ldaps.sonoma.edu/portal/. Detailed information and instructions for making personal information changes thorough PeopleSoft Self Service are available on the Self Service Information sheet located on the Employee Services website. Classification and CompensationEmployee Services responds to requests for classification review and in-range progression, answers classification and compensation questions from staff and Appropriate Administrators, and administers staff salary programs. Guidelines for requesting an in-range progression are available. A Merit Bonus Program is available to members of the Academic Professionals of California (Unit 4). Campus Clearance GuidelinesEmployee Services provides coordination of the campus clearance process for employees who are ending their employment at Sonoma State University. Excellence Award ProgramThe Excellence Award Program recognizes outstanding service by staff members, and is awarded to two employees per year. Service Award ProgramThe Service Award Program recognizes and rewards employees for their years of service at Sonoma State.

Staff Emergency AppointmentsEmployee Services assists departments in filling their short-term immediate staffing needs. An emergency appointment is typically used to fill a short-term absence, or may be used to fill a vacancy while a recruitment is being conducted. Please call 664-4265 for assistance or information. Position DescriptionsA well-crafted position description is the cornerstone of any job. Employee Services provides guidance and answers questions from staff and Appropriate Administrators about this important topic. HR Support for Grants and ContractsEmployee Services provides in-depth human resources support to the campus' grant and contracts activities. Please contact 664-2092 for questions regarding grants and contracts human resources issues. Independent ContractorsEmployee Services provides initial review before departments may contract with an individual as an independent contractor. Please complete the Independent Contractors Review form and forward it to Employee Services at terrie.delorm@sonoma.edu for review. Conflict of InterestThe Political Reform Act requires that officials and employees, who are designated in an agency's conflict of interest code, must file a Statement of Economic Interests, Form 700, and disclose certain financial interests. If your position has been identified as one that requires disclosure, please open the "Form 700 and Instructions" at the Fair Political Practices Commision and complete page 5, the Cover Page. Information on your position's disclosure(s) can be found in Attachment A of Coded Memorandum 2008-02. In addition, an example Form 700 has been provided to assist you in completing the document. Non-Faculty Volunteer EmploymentEmployee Services provides support to campus departments in signing up non-faculty volunteers for various programs, using the Non-Faculty Volunteer Appointment Form. Applause Award ProgramThe Applause Award Program provides all employees with the ability to recognize other employees who go beyond the call of duty.
