Since NCEI is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization, we depend in large part on financial contributions and volunteers. We also strongly encourage past participants to become involved in making the discussion groups available to others. One of the best ways to do this is by mentoring new groups in your area.

Other volunteer opportunities exist as well, such as giving introductory talks, contacting groups or businesses about the discussion groups, and helping with organizational and community-building tasks.
