What is Spyware?
Any software that covertly gathers user information through the user's Internet
connection without his or her knowledge, usually for advertising purposes.
Once installed, the spyware monitors user activity on the Internet and transmits
that information in the background to someone else.
What can I do about Spyware?
For Students and Personal Computers
There are software tools available to help you combat Spyware on your computer. These tools will scan your hard drive and make removal suggestions based on what it finds.
For Staff and Faculty
