Q. Can I make the search results page look like the rest of my site?

A. That depends on what your site looks like.

Most SSU websites should be using the University's standardized design (see Web Standards). By default, pages using the standard search form will have results that look like this.

If your SSU site does not use the University's standardized design, and the University Web Advisory Committee has provided a design expemption, then it may be possible to have a custom Google Search "Collection." This would allow you to customize the search front end so it matches your site.

Managing and customizing a front end is not something to be taken on lightly. Depending on what you want to do, you may need to edit XSLT files. Make an appointment with the IT Web Office Director to discuss your search needs and options.
