Students will be paired up. One student will lay or sit on the scooter while the other pulls with a length of rope. The goal of the activity is for the student on the scooter to transport one soft object at a time from a pile in a hoop in one designated area to a hoop in another designated area as she/he rides on the scooter. The other partner must use their creativity to find a way to safely pull the scooter rider. Once all the objects are piled in the second hoop, students can both practice balancing the objects on various body parts until all groups are finished and you are ready to begin again. When everyone is finished have students turn to their partners and compliment them on what they did well. |
