Teaching Hints: If playing on a blacktop don't have the students run for safety purposes.
Description:

Object of the game: On the stop cue, touch the floor with the same number of body parts as the caller has called.

  1. Have students move about the area in any motion picked.
  2. Stop the music or give a stop cue, and call out a number.
  3. The students have to have just that many body parts touching the floor.
  4. Start the music again, then on the stop cue, call out a different number.
Alternatives/Modifications

Change locomotor movements: On the stop cue, have them find a partner and work together to put the correct number of body parts on the floor.
