Review safety rules for playing tag. When tagging another player, the touch should be light, never pushing another player. Also, it is important to be honest when tagged. |

| Description: | |||||
|
The students should be placed into two different groups -- the stars and the catchers. The stars should have three players in the group. The remainder the students will be the catchers. Set up two boundaries (parallel lines about twenty feet apart). The catchers stand in the middle of the boundaries, while the stars stand on one of the boundaries. The catchers begin the game by saying together, ”Star light, star bright, how many stars are out tonight?” The stars respond, “More than you can catch!” At this point, the stars make a dash across to the other boundary, trying not to get tagged by a catcher. If a star gets tagged by a catcher, then the star becomes a catcher. The game continues until no stars remain. |
