Lesson Objective (Psychomotor and/or Cognitive):

develop coordinated movements to implement in a dance

Teaching Hints:

The key to this dance is to make sure you emphasize the difference between the "touches" and the "steps". Touches are like taps, you do not put your weight on the foot, while a step should have the students weight transferred to that foot. Once they understand this concept the dance should go smoothly!

Description:

Students will line up in row formation facing the front of the room. The steps should be taught one at a time, not adding the next step on until all students have completed the previous step successfully.

Counts 1-4: Touch right foot to side and close, two times.
