|
The teacher selects 2 students to hold blue foam balls, which will represent "snowflakes" and 2 students to hold two yellow balls which will represent the "sunshine." The with the blue foam balls are the taggers and the students with the yellow foam balls are "unfreezers." On the whistle, the teacher calls out a locomotor skill, (for example: skip, gallop, hop, jump, or side step) for the students to perform. The students who have the blue foam balls try to tag the others. When tagged, the student must stand with their hands out to their sides (fingers spread) like a snowman. It's the job of the students who have the yellow foam balls to unfreeze or "melt" the students who are frozen. The only students that cannot get tagged are the ones with the yellow foam balls. Rotate "snowflakes" and the "sunshine" often. |
