Sean MacRae (2007, submitted 11-02-2008): Modern Algebra gave to me the meaning of life... When asked if I believe in God I reply, 'Yes, up to isomorphism' "The more you know, the more you know you don't know zilch!"
Nick Hoffman (2001, submitted 04-07-2008): I got married soon after graduating from SSU (June, 2002)and have two children. Nathan was born in April, 2005 and Ashlyn was born in May, 2007. I am entering my 7th year of teaching at Pioneer High School in San Jose, and my 3rd year as a co-chair of the math department. Currently teaching Pre-Calculus, AP Statistics, and a specialized course for seniors to prepare them to take college placement exams. I developed the review/project-based course myself, and it is based on the topic outline for the CSU's ELM Placement Test. I am also a mentor teacher through our district BTSA program, and served this year as the curriculum team leader for our WASC review. And I am the head coach of Pioneer's varsity boys soccer team.

Megan Wong (2006, submitted 28-08-2008): I got my teaching credential in 2007 from Sonoma State and I am starting my second year of teaching at Elsie Allen High School in Santa Rosa. I am excited to be teaching an honors class this year and hope to excite students about mathematics.
Leanna Lofte (2008, submitted 19-09-2008): I have recently started my first quarter of graduate school at the University of Denver. I am also a GTA for two business calculus courses. Dave is doing the same thing... he probably won't fill this thing out :)
Virginia Knott (2006, submitted 06-10-2008): I am in my first year as a teacher at Fort Bragg High School. I am currently teaching Algebra I, Algebra II and a class called College Readiness which prepares students for the SAT and ELM exams. I am enjoying sharing my love of math with students.
Steven Moore (2007, submitted 25-11-2008): I got my Math and Computer Science degrees in Spring of 2007, and just bought a (small) condo in my hometown of Sunnyvale, CA. I'm currently working as an automation engineer in Apple's wireless communications department. Life is good.
Aaron Melgoza (2005, submitted 11-12-2008): Graduated with BA in Math from SSU, Teaching Credential from CSUEB, and Masters Degree in Education from CSUEB. Currently working on Adminstrative Credential from CSUEB. Currently teaching high school math at Lapaloma HS in Oakley

David Bozarth (2004, submitted 04-07-2009): After completing the B.S. program in Math (Computer Science Option), worked as a programmer/analyst with the IT group at a local winery - while doing part-time graduate study in SSU's Engineering Science Dept. Served a 3-month internship at Agilent Technologies in Santa Rosa in Summer 2008, and completed the M.S. program in Spring 2009. Summer 2009: Internship in software integration/test automation at Calix Solutions in Petaluma. Impressed with the new looks of the Math Dept. website and the MATH Major paper circular!
Fiina Ugrin Jolley (1972, submitted 08-07-2009): I retired from Fort Bragg Unifed School District in June 2008 after teaching mathematics for thirty-five years. In 2008-09 I worked with three first year math teachers at Fort Bragg High School, serving as their "shoulder to lean on" once a week. This was a wonderful experience. One of those first year teachers was Virginia Knott, SSU 2006!
