What I Do at SSU

I direct the classical guitar program. I teach beginning guitar class, guitar ensemble and private lessons.

My Bio

Eric is a multi-award winning performer and educator. Eric received his Master of Music degree from the San Francisco Conservatory of music where he studied performance, composition, and improvisation with internationally acclaimed guitarist/composer Dusan Bogdanovic. He has performed in the master classes or studied with such distinguished guitarists as: Manuel Barrueco, Eliot Fisk, Christopher Parkening, David Russell, David Tanenbaum and Jose Tomas. A recipient of the Music Teacher's Association scholarship, Eric has also received talent scholarships from the University of Redlands and San Francisco Conservatory. Upon graduating from the University of Redlands, Eric was named School of Music performer of the year. He also received a grant from the Leni Fe Bland Foundation. Eric was awarded a full tuition scholarship to perform in master classes at the prestigious Bath International Guitar Festival and Competition in England. Residing in Sonoma County, Eric performs often in the Bay Area as a soloist and chamber musician. He performs regularly throughout West Coast with guitarist Stuart Green as the Cabalo/Green Duo. A dedicated educator, Eric teaches privately and is the founder/director of 12th Fret Guitar Studios, a classical guitar program providing lessons for children and adults. Eric joined the SSU faculty in 2005.
