Greta Vollmer, associate professor of English, is one of more than 400 U.S. faculty and professionals who will travel abroad this year through the Fulbright Senior
Specialists Program. The Fulbright Senior Specialists Program, created in 2000 to complement the traditional Fulbright Scholar Program, provides short-term academic opportunities (two to six weeks) to prominent U.S. faculty and professionals to support curricular and faculty development and institutional planning at post-secondary, academic institutions around the world.
Vollmer will give seminars to English language teachers at four different universities (La Plata Buenos Aires, Cordoba and Jujuy) and a plenary talk at an English teachers' conference in Cordoba. Her travels are sponsored by the Fulbright Commission. It is her second Fulbright trip, the previous one was in 2008.
