Faculty are encouraged to invite outstanding research students to apply for the 25th annual California State University Student Research Competition, taking place May 6-7, 2011 at the CSU Fresno campus. The competition is held to promote excellence in undergraduate and graduate scholarly research and creative activity in the CSU. Presentations from all disciplines are invited.
The categories at the competition include: behavioral and social sciences; biological and agricultural sciences; business, economics and public administration; creative arts and design; education; engineering and computer science; health, nutrition, and clinical sciences; humanities and letters; physical and mathematical sciences; and interdisciplinary.
Students selected to attend the competition will give a 10-minute oral presentation of their work before a jury and an audience at the competition. Audio-visual presentations are allowed. Cash awards are presented to the winners at a closing luncheon for the competition.
SSU may send a campus delegation of up to ten entries, and the university defrays the expenses for students to attend this event. The deadline for submission is Monday, March 14, 2011.
