The kickoff of CSU Super Sunday is just a few days away, and faculty and staff are needed to assist with Sonoma State University's assigned outreach on Sunday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m. at Beebe Memorial Cathedral CME Church, located at 3900 Telegraph Avenue in Oakland.
"We need your help!" says Chuck Rhodes, assistant vice-president of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management. "This is your opportunity to do something that makes an impact on increasing ethnic diversity at Sonoma."
President Armiñana will be speaking the following weekend on Sunday, Feb. 20 at Acts Full Gospel Church in Oakland.
His message will highlight the advantages and opportunities a college degree offers, with the goal of increasing college-going rates among African American students.
Those interested should contact Gina Geck, associate director of admissions and student recruitment, at 664-3035.
