New CSU Voluntary Benefits Programs and Special Open Enrollment Fair

The California State University (CSU) is pleased to announce the implementation of new Voluntary Benefits Programs which include:

• Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) and Voluntary Long Term Disability (LTD) offered by The Standard
• Auto and Home Insurance offered by California Casualty
• Group Critical Illness offered by Aflac (underwritten by Continental American Life Insurance Company)
• MetLaw® Legal Plan offered by Hyatt Legal Plans, Inc. (a MetLife® company).

A special, one-time only, open enrollment period will be held March 1 - March 31, 2011, with a plan effective date of May 1, 2011.

During this open enrollment period, The Standard also is offering enrollment in Voluntary Life Insurance with guaranteed issue for those employees who previously waived this coverage.

Due to CSU policy and individual vendor requirements, eligibility varies by plan. For information regarding plan highlights and eligibility, please visit the CSU System-wide Benefits portal.

SSU Payroll and Benefits Office will host a special benefit fair Tuesday, March 15 from noon-2 p.m. in Schulz 1121. Representatives from each company will be in attendance to assist you with questions and enrollment procedures.
