The SSU Learning Center is pleased to offer a new program for eligible students, called the Multilingual Learners (MLL) program. Services provided include reading and writing tutoring with an experienced MLL specialist, group tutoring, math support, a writing lab, and other targeted workshops and classes.
A knowledgeable MLL specialist is available to help with academic writing and presentations for all majors, writing for professional purposes (such as resumes, cover letters or emails), and scholarship and graduate school statements of purpose.
To be eligible for the program, students must meet the following requirements:
1. Your first language learned was not English, or you learned English and another language at the same time.
2. You are low-income, or a first-generation college student, or you are registered with Disability Services for Students.
3. You are a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
For more information, or to sign up for the program, visit The Learning Center in Salazar 1040 (also the home of Learning Skills Services and NoGAP) or contact Daniel Smith, Program Manager, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
