Campus Invited to Swearing-In of New Police Officers

policebadge.jpegThe SSU community is invited to the swearing-in and badge pinning ceremony for Police Officer William "Billy" Zeier and Officer Eric Wilde on Monday, April 11 at 4 p.m. in Schulz 3001.

Officer Eric Wilde grew up in Grass Valley, California where he graduated from Nevada Union High School. He earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Sierra Community College and then attended California State University Sacramento, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in criminal justice.

Wilde graduated from the Police Academy at the Sacramento Regional Public Safety Training Center and currently resides in Citrus Heights, California. He plans to relocate and make Sonoma County his permanent home in the very near future. His personal interests include bowling, dinners with friends, and spending time with family.


Officer William "Billy" Zeier grew up in Contra Costa County and attended Albany High School. He earned an Associate of Arts Degree from Laney Community College and then attended U.C. Davis, graduting with a Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in communications and sociology.


Zeier graduated from the Police Academy at the Santa Rosa Junior College Public Safety Training Center and resides in Santa Rosa with his wife, Amanda. His personal interests and hobbies are varied and include outdoor recreation activities, music and spending time with family and friends.
