Rick began his tenure here in July 2003 as an Instruction Librarian and quickly found himself in charge of the Reference Services Department. Eventually, he also became the faculty lead for the Access Services Department, which includes Interlibrary Loan and Circulation.
He has served as the library liaison to multiple departments, including History, Political Science, and the School of Business and Economics, and headed up the outreach to local schools through the K-12 program.
In his almost 8 years at Sonoma State University, he has served on numerous committees, including the Academic Senate. Rick has been a valuable and enthusiastic part of our public services, helping many students and faculty successfully use the library. In particular, Rick has contributed his keen interest in all things digital, especially Google, toward enhancing services.
The University Library expresses deep appreciation to Rick, with very best wishes in what promises to be a successful and exciting career!
Rick will begin his position at the California Maritime Academy on Monday, April 18, 2011. Until that time, he may be reached in his office or by email at email@example.com.
