Mike Dominguez, staff member and SSU alum, has been chosen to speak at the Collegiate Sport Club Symposium (CSCS) hosted by the National Intramural-Recreational Sports Association in June 2011 in Hartford, CT.
Dominguez -- who manages the Rec Center's intramural sports, club sports, Super Kids Camp and marketing department -- will be leading a round-table discussion regarding management issues involving sport club student participation, travel, and operations.
The forum will be attended by Sport Club professionals and students from universities around the country.
In April 2011, Dominguez was also selected as a sport club expert to participate in an external review of the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo Student Life and Leadership Division, focusing on their sport club program.
Dominguez has helped to increase student participation in both the intramural and sport club programs at SSU, and has significantly increased enrollment at Super Kids Camp since joining the university's staff in 2008.
He is respected by both his peers and students for his thoughtful leadership, professional demeanor and exemplary work ethic. Dominguez holds a B.S. in Business and Marketing from SSU and an M.A. in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University, in Flagstaff, AZ.
