SSU Human Resources and the California State University Risk Management Authority (CSURMA) are sponsoring a seminar entitled "Managing Change During Challenging Times." There will be two sessions on Wed., July 27 in Cooperage 1 - one for MPPs from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., and one for staff from 1 p.m.-3 p.m.
The seminar is designed to assist managers and staff as they navigate through these challenging times that include an ever-changing budget environment, limited resources, changing priorities, and external pressures. It will address the challenges individuals face in maintaining morale while facing economic uncertainty, and assist them in developing coping mechanisms to deal with this uncertainty.
"Managing Change During Challenging Times" will be presented by Patrick Prince of Prince & Phelps Consultants. Patrick is a corporate trainer and organizational consultant with more than twenty years of experience working with private corporations and public agencies.
He specializes in conflict resolution, crisis intervention, threat management, and disaster recovery, and is currently under contract or has worked with several city and State of California agencies for other program development, training and consultation.
Prince received his master's degree in Counseling Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his bachelor's degree in Sociology from the University of Southern California.
