Sixteen Sonoma County kids between the ages of 10 and 17 have created an original, powerful and controversial play from interviews with eight local couples (five same-gender & three mixed-gender) about love, life and discrimination. Now, they're heading to New York City for an off-Broadway run of their play, which has been named "Best Special Theatre Event" by Broadway World.
Before they fly to the Big Apple, the final West Coast performance of "Prop 8 Love Stories" - also a fundraising event for the children's travel - is taking place in SSU's Evert B. Person Theatre on Sat., June 18 at 3 p.m. Don't miss this moving, hilarious and potent performance that will drive you to both tears and laughter.
Now being published, "Prop 8 Love Stories" can soon be found on the shelves of Barnes & Noble and Copperfield's. For more information, visit http://8lovestories.blogspot.com/.
Tickets are available online at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/164075. General admission is $25. Student and senior tickets are $20.
