Produce Delivery Program Gives Students a Fresh Option

shonefarms.jpgDining Services introduces 8-week and 13-week CSA box programs

Sonoma State University Dining Services and Shone Farm CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) are partnering to provide a produce delivery program that brings the SRJC's Shone Farm to you every week at SSU's farm stand. All produce is grown using sustainable principles, so no pesticides, herbicides, or fungicides - just good, wholesome, delicious food, as if you'd grown it in your own garden. In addition to your share of produce, participants will also receive a weekly newsletter containing seasonal recipes.

There are two program options being offered: 8 weeks from - September 8 to October 27 - or a 13-week program from September 8 to December 8. Pick-up takes place on Thursdays from noon to 1 p.m. at the Farm Stand in Stevenson Quad. The CSA box price is $25 per week with the 13-week program including one free box.

Sign-ups are happening now until Thursday, Sept. 1 and will only include the first twenty-five people to sign-up. Click here to download the sign-up form: shone_farms_csa_signup.doc
