After years of dreaming, wishing and planning, the new Sonoma State baseball facility now underway at Seawolf Diamond. The project was made possible by many generous donors including former assistant baseball coach Gordon Smith, who made a significant gift through his estate upon his passing in 2011.
When completed by the summer of 2013, the new two-story, 4,200-square foot building will house the baseball team's clubhouse/locker room, coaches offices, video rooms, indoor batting cages and pitching mounds, and more. The project broke ground on Dec. 7 and is scheduled to be completed by Sept. 21 of this year, but the building is estimated to be finished by this upcoming July.
