Professor of philosophy and law at the University of San Francisco, Manuel Vargas, will discuss negligence and responsibility as part of The Center for Ethics, Law, and Society lecture series on April 11.
The lecture, titled, "Negligence and Responsibility," is from 1:30 - 3 p.m. in Schulz 3001.
Vargas is a leading expert on free will and responsibility, and his book, Building Better Beings: A Theory of Moral Responsibility recently came out from Oxford University Press. His principle research interests include moral agency, philosophical issues in the law, and Latin American philosophy.
