STT Lambda Gamma Chapter Meeting

APPROVAL OF THE APRIL 15TH MINUTES

 

FINANCIAL REPORT: MELISSA

·        We currently have $375.00 for 15 year anniversary

·        Need to start curtailing expenses to cover scholarships

·        We will do another mailing for scholarships in Fall

·        We will see if Kaiser, Sutter and Memorial will support scholarships for nurses

·        Kelly and Stefani will work with Patricia on fundraising ideas

 

EBP WORKSHOP JUNE 9Th Rae and Research Symposium at UCSF

·        13 people are signed up (5 from Kaiser)

·        All handouts are needed by June 1st

·        Research symposium at UCSF – wants to pull together for Fall in collaboration with local STT chapters; Patricia will find out further details

 

NEWSLETTER/WEBSITE

·        Newsletter will be up online this summer

·        STT will get Nicole’s brother a gift certificate for helping with the newsletter and website

 

VOTING ON SCHOLARSHIPS

·        PHD scholarship awarded to Mary Ellen Wilkosz – Congratulations!

·        Ways of getting the word out about the scholarships

-         Discuss during orientation for the incoming junior class

-         Have Carole discuss in community health class/As well as other teachers

-         Scholarships are open to fast trackers

-         Deb will discuss with DEMSN students this summer

-         Sandra will email copies of applications to students

 

15TH ANNUAL FUNDRAISER

·        Received $375 from fundraising letters

·        Will do another letter for the fall.  In this letter we will include a blurb about the PhD Scholarship given to Mary Ellen, as well as a bio and our need for continual support
