Melissa met with Gerri about tax ID #s. Signatories were done for the bank. Arranged for the audit for $500. Melissa will look into the credit card for LG.
Also LG will purchase Worldviews on Evidence-Based Nursing and it will be made available for people on our web-site. The cost is $67.50. There was also a vote taken and agreement reached about sending $1,000 to STTI for the Nurse in Crisis Fund. |
|
| VP Programs |
There was a discussion about the VP Programs job. |
|
| Spring Dinner Meeting |
There was some confusion about the hotel and reservations. The Hotel has changed the policy and demands a credit card and payment up front. Mary Lou handled it this time.
The hotel has increased the dinner price to $33.75. It was suggested to charge members $50.00 and $55.00 to non-members. Student dinner prices will remain at $25.00. A vote was taken and price increases are effective for the Spring Dinner Meeting.
There was also a discussion about growing the chapter which might include partnering with other nursing groups in the area.
It was agreed to raffle off a trip to a nursing conference at our Spring
Dinner meeting. The winner will make a presentation about their trip at the next dinner mtg on their return.
Anita Catlin has agreed to be the speaker at the Spring Dinner mtg. |
Kathleen Rockett volunteered to look into another place for dinner meetings and also to see if book publishers or hospitals would be interested in funding the dinner meetings.
Sandra will talk to Anita about a date. |
| EBP resource group |
Rae discussed her efforts to get the EBP resource group together and their plans for the next seminar. We also discussed the idea of the Protocol web-site and it was agreed that this would have to be discussed further in sub-committee. |
|
| Newsletter |
It was suggested that postcards be sent out prior to the newsletter being e-mailed. Also flyers could be mailed for the Spring Dinner mtg in Jan w/ the Awards flyer. |
