STT Board Meeting Minutes

January 27, 2007

In attendance: KC Grigsby, Patricia Rozenoff, Mary Lou Schmidt, Sandra Debella Bodley, Melissa Hall, Stefani Vella, Kelly Anderson, Janet Sork, Ray Rhen, Lisa Burns

1. Approval of the November 6, Board Meeting minutes

2. STTI business

- Dues will remain $100

- 39^th Bicentennial Convention in 2007: will be held November 2007 in Baltimore. Discussion of sending two board members to the Convention. Monies will come from the STT checking account.

3. Financial Report

- Fall Dinner meeting brought in $1,034 pretty much breaking even

- Donations: $40.00

- Total income $5,109.45

- Total expenses: $1,311.20

4. Evidenced Based Practice

- Event will take place May 8^th 2007

- Flyers handed out and reviewed

- All undergraduate research classes are being required to make posters for the event

- STT will be in charge of a poster presentation activity

- Posters are due April 4^th

- A discussion of what role North Bay Network will play

5. Publicity Committee

- Kelly will look into printing prices of letterheads and envelopes for next mailing of flyers (500 flyers/envelopes)

- Spring dinner meeting will be March 15^th

- Bring labels to next Board meeting

6. Newsletter/Website

- Nicole: Is it possible to add a registration link for the dinner meetings to the website?

7. Fundraising: Board members put into groups of 2-3 to make up the raffle prizes for the Spring Dinner Meeting. Each group spend $75-$100. Please work of for next board meeting

- Movie Basket: Anita, Lisa

- Spa Basket: Janet Melissa

- STT Basket: Stefani Selia and Kelly

8. Spring Dinner Meeting

- Date: March 15^th at 6:30pm at Osake Restaurant

- Topic: “New Roles in Nursing!”

- Possible speakers: Medtronics, Marilyn Foster, Juana Edmonds, Melissa Vanderveer, Karen Evans

- Raffle prizes: See above

9. Board Vacancies: f/u

10. Review of inductees and list to present to faculty: Discussed

11. Induction Ceremony: Date/Place TBA

12. Discussion held regarding Awards to be presented at Induction Ceremony

13. Events and Dates:

- Next Board Meeting: Monday February 12, 2007 at Melissa’s house – 7pm

- Spring Dinner Meeting: Thursday March 15^th at Osake Restaurant – 6:30pm

- March Board Meeting: Thursday March 15^th at Osake Restaurant – 5:30

- Induction Ceremony: TBA

- Evidenced Based Practice: May 8^th 2007 (posters due April 4^th)

- Trauma Symposium Sponsored by Kaiser and NBN: March 9^th-10^th at the Embassy Suites Hotel in San Rafael
