STTI Lambda Gamma Agenda

In Attendance: Selia Davis, Melissa Hall, Stefani Vella, Kelly Anderson, Nicole Norris, Kathleen Rocket Zimmerman, Rae Rehn

 

I.                    Approval of the Aug 23rd minutes:

·        Minutes approved

 

II.                 Financial Report: Melissa and going discussion about budget

·        Add $340 to our checking balance from the North Bay check ($4,957.99+$340)

·        We have received $600 thus far in donations

·        Our scholarship fund is at $600 thus far

 

III.               EBP Workshop Plans

·        Date and location: May 8th at Finely Center in Santa Rosa (Time TBA)

·        Still looking for a speaker

·        STT is networking with North Bay Network

·        STT will display a poster presentation, advertising our fundraising and merchandise

·        To do: Selia will look into fundraising for poster: November 1, 2006

 

IV.              Newsletter/Website – Nicole

·        The website is up and looks fabulous!

·        STT would like to thank Nicole’s talented brother for his help with our website and newsletter; we will purchase a $200 gift certificate to Best Buy

·        To do: Stefani will buy a thank you card

To do: Nicole will contact Sandra about writing an article from the last dinner meeting including Anita’s presentation for our newsletter

 

V.                 Board Vacancies f/u

·        Sarah Berlin – Corresponding Secretary?

·        Lisa: Did you contact Erlinda Baustita about filling a vacant board position

·        Sandra: Did you contact Pam Bellefueilet or Eira Kliche about filling a vacant board position?

 

VI.              Report on Fundraising progress

·        The fundraising committee will set a time to meet to discuss a large raffle for the Spring dinner meeting

·        It was decided that at the Fall dinner meeting there will not be a raffle held

 

VII.            Fall Dinner Meeting: Location has been changed, Consider press release and Kathleen inviting the oncology group

·        To do: Menu – Patricia will finalize the menu; Patricia will be in charge of decorations (Fall theme)

·        To do: Invitations – Stefani will do a bulk mailing of the invitations; Sandra will send out a reminder email

·        Kathleen will be our speaker; “The Importance of Belonging to a National Nursing Organization” She will discuss why it is important to join a professional nursing organization, the importance of Magnet status, evidenced based nursing practice and networking.

 

VIII.         SSU Club – Lisa

·        We need access to student ID cards, Lisa sent out an email requesting the use of valid SSU ID cards

·        To Do: Kathleen will follow up with Lisa

 

IX.              Next Board Meeting:

·        November 6, 2006 at Osake Restaurant (Meeting from 6-6:30; set up from 6:30-7)
