Currently, the NWIC is transitioning its inventory from paper based maps and documents to digital (electronic) based maps and documents. At this time, NWIC has six (6) counties as well as several quadrangles maintained in digital file format accessed using the NWIC’s GIS and Database application. Check-in with our Inventory Access page for more details. The remainder are maintained and accessed on paper. Each of these two formats has its own fee structure.
The most current Non-Electronic fee structure (paper format) was approved by the State Historical Resources Commission (SHRC) on 16 October 2006, as found in the CHRIS IC Rules of Operation Manual, Section VIII, Service Fee Schedule.
The most current Electronic Fee structure (digital format) was approved by SHRC on 3 May 2012.
