ESRI ArcMap Component
The ESRI GIS geodatabase component inventories the physical shapes and locations of resource records and study reports in the NWIC's geographic area. These shapes are catagorized in datasets and symbolized as layers overlaid on tiled images of USGS Quadrangles and aerial ground photos. Pertainent attribute information for each feature mapped in the geodatabase is recorded in and is accessable though the ESRI ArcMap application. Certain cusomized tools have been created and added to ArcMap documents. These tools help in selecting features within an research project location and in producing maps of those selected Resource Sites or Study Report areas as needed.
