North Bay International Program
North Bay International Studies Project (NBISP) is a collaborative project of Sonoma State University (SSU) and Dominican College, San Rafael; and the Marin and Sonoma County Offices of Education. Founded in 1985, NBISP works with school districts and individual teachers in the North Coast area from Marin County to the Oregon border to improve education in international and intercultural affairs. NBISP acts as a K-12 resource liaison involving classroom teachers in university events, i.e., lectures, workships, institutes and meetings. For the past two years NBISP has focused on the Pan Pacific, enhancing teacher knowledge of the region during summer institutes. Co-directors: Miriam Hutchins at Sonoma State University and Alice Bartholomew at Dominican College. Internet address: miriam.hutchins@sonoma.edu
