Fairfield Osborn Preserve is located about 7.5 miles from the Sonoma State University campus and includes 460 acres of natural land with hiking trails.

From the north, take Highway 101 and exit on the Rohnert Park Expressway. Turning left from the exit, head east to Petaluma Hill Road. Take Petaluma Hill Road south to Roberts Road by turning right.

From the south, take Highway 101 and exit on Old Redwood Highway. Head north to Main Street. Turn right onto Main which becomes Petaluma Hill Road. Take Petaluma Hill Road north to Roberts Road.

Then, take Roberts Road approximately 1 mi. to Lichau Road. Follow the FOP signs up Lichau Road 3.8 miles to the Preserve parking lot.

Caution! Upper Lichau Road is very narrow, so drive slowly. Please take care driving over wet cattle guards.
