The PEP Project. This is a web site I developed in a research project with the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. It displays an aspect of my work as a teacher educator in the context of the EDSS 444 course in Fall 2005.
CURRICULAR RESOURCES
NCTM's
Illuminations. Great activities, investigations, and
lesson plans keyed to the NCTM Principles and Standards;
organized by grade band, content area, and type of
resource.
Math Web Sites
for Teachers. Well organized and annotated; large number
of links to good sites for lesson plans, games, and other
teaching ideas.
National Science Digital
Library. Large collection of resources for middle school
math, compiled by the National Science Foundation.
Math
Archives. Links to dozens of sites with math lesson
plans and activities.
PBS
TeacherLine. You can register free to gain access to a
wide variety of resources of math teaching.
Schools of
California Online Resources for Education (SCORE). Has
links to a variety of math resources.
The Math
Forum. Very large and well-organized collection;
includes instructional plans, topics in math education, and
current issues.
Gateway to Educational
Materials (GEM). Somewhat difficult to get directly to
what you want, but contains links to many good math sites --
lesson plans, math content, problems, etc.
Interactive Mathematics
Program (IMP). Information about IMP, an NSF-sponsored
and award-winning high school curriculum.
Connected Mathematics
Project (CMP). Information about CMP, an NSF-sponsored
and award-winning middle school curriculum.
The K-12 Mathematics
Curriculum Center. Links to the 12 Standards-based
mathematics curricula (3 elementary, 4 middle, and 5 high
school) developed through NSF funding in the 1990's.
Math
and Science Materials. Materials to support math and
science teachers.

Furman
University Mathematical Quotations Server. Large
collection of math quotations, indexed by keyword and

Facts. Lots of mathematical trivia, much of it quite
