What I Do at SSU

This semester I teach THAR 101/ Making Theatre,  THAR 145B/ Speech for the Actor, and serve as Vocal Coach for the Department’s production of THE IMAGINARY INVALID.

Danielle Cain was an Associate Artistic Director at Actors Theatre for seven years and Managing/Casting Director for 6th Street Playhouse for two years. She trained at the British American Drama Academy, American Conservatory Theater and received her BFA in acting from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. Danielle has been on the drama faculty at Sonoma State University since 1999 teaching acting, speech and auditioning. She has taught Shakespeare, voice & speech, text analysis and auditioning at a variety of programs over the last 10 years and has been a private audition coach for 15 years. As an actor favorite roles include Harper in Angels in America, Hannah in Arcadia, Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Kyra in Skylight, Annie in The Real Thing, Rose in Enchanted April, Anna in Boston Marriage and Beatrice in In the Mood.
